RankStack does not invent search data
No fabricated search volumes, no invented rankings, no made-up trend predictions. Every number is one you entered, one you imported, or one a provider you connected returned.
The three sources of any figure
- Entered by you, from a tool you are licensed to use
- Imported through the CSV exchange, keeping its source column
- Returned by an integration you configured with your own credentials
How provenance is shown
Every volume and position carries a source label. First-party data — Search Console, your own analytics, a manual audit — is badged "Verified". Anything else is badged "Provider estimate". A figure with no recorded source is badged "Unverified" rather than being shown as fact.
Integrations in this installation
| Provider | What it would supply | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Google Search Console | Verified impressions, Verified clicks, Average position | Configured |
| Google Ads Keyword Planner | Monthly search volume, CPC, Competition | Configured |
| SERP data provider | First-page Google results, Competitor discovery, Competitor tracking | Configured |
| AI drafting (optional) | Brief drafts, Audience hypotheses, Semantic keywords | Configured |
Live data requires integrations such as Google Search Console, Google Ads or an appropriately licensed SERP and keyword-data provider. Until one is configured, the screens that depend on it stay marked "Coming soon".
Why this matters
A plausible number is worse than no number: it gets quoted, planned around and defended. RankStack would rather show an empty state with an explanation than fill a chart with something it guessed.
